About the Association
Formed in April 2000, NMAFB is a collaborative organization consisting of five member food banks that serve the entire state. We distribute food through a statewide network of more than 600 agencies (soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless and domestic violence shelters, senior centers, etc.).
Programs and operations of the Association are funded by:
- The State of New Mexico
- The Daniels Fund
- Walmart
- McCune Charitable Foundation
- MAZON: a Jewish Response to Hunger
- Smith’s
- and Generous individuals from across the state.
